?Weight Watchers recent ad campaign featuring Jessica Simpson as their latest celebrity spokeswoman has been getting plenty of airtime. However, the new mom may not have shared in Jennifer Hudson's belief that the plan would work. At least not at first. According to Radaronline, Simpson spoke with two doctors about having lap band weight loss surgery before becoming the new spokeswoman for Weight Watchers. And supposedly, both medical experts concluded that the star did not make a good candidate for the procedure.
NFL tight end Eric Johnson and Jessica Simpson have been engaged since November 2010. The couple gave birth to their first child Maxwell on May 1st. Sources close to Jessica say that the star was desperate to lose the seventy pounds of baby weight that she had gained while indulging in "everything filled with sugar". America's sweetheart celeb told fans that she ate a lot of her favorite childhood foods during her pregnancy. These foods included "Kraft Mac N Cheese, buttered Pop-Tarts and Cap'n Crunch.
Since the entertainer/ designer was denied lap band surgery twice , Simpson along with the support of her friends has decided to lose weight the old fashioned way - a healthy diet and exercise. However, Weight Watchers' four million dollar ad campaign deal should serve as a great motivational incentive as well.
The thirty-two year old has also hired celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak to help her reach her weight loss goals. In the early part of September, Simpson revealed that she has lost over forty pounds so far.
