 It is a New Year and people make resolutions to change their eating habits and get fit. In fact, starting a brand-new diet is the number one New Years resolution. Celebrity’s shar4e the same resolutions and certainly have a major impact on the public and dieting. Many of the diets they follow are quite trendy and seem to work for them. Here are a few diet tips for 2013.

Diets don't work. That's right. Dieting alone does not work. Statistics show that those who cut calories and follow a moderate exercise program lose more body fat and weight. Even working out for 30 minutes per day helps to burn a tremendous amount of calories and body fat. This year use dieting in conjunction with a great exercise program like walking or biking.

Train your mind to lose weight. We all think about getting fit and getting our body in shape. The new trend is to use the mind and body approach to lose weight successfully. In fact, the smartest way to lose weight is to train your mind to accept new eating habits that are healthier for you. Start by reading books on proper nutrition and dieting. Write down your weight loss or dieting goals in a journal. Always keep records of the food consumed daily. This should train your mind to acknowledge and accept the new healthier eating habits.

The Paleo Diet for Athletes is a new trend that appears healthy and very responsive to healthy weight loss. The basics driving the Paleo Diet for Athletes is eating in a planned healthy way similar to our ancestors which involves redefining carbohydrates value in dieting. This is a very good diet plan that is also good for the average individual who wants to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
